A Classic 1940′s Shirtwaister Dress with Buttons at the front and a belted waist for easy comfortable fitting. Finishes 2” below the knee. The Slipper Atomic Satin Print is a beautiful, soft fabric by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury and creates a fabulous movement to the dress.  
 
A "Seamstress of Bloomsbury" Original, Simply the best quality fabric, attention to detail and authentic Lilian Wells design. Lilian was the original "Seamstress of Bloomsbury".. She made beautiful items of clothing throughout the 1930s, 40s & Early 50s for London's aristocracy, battling the Blitz & circumstances that we cant even begin to imagine, but never compromising on her quality or delightful craftsmanship.. She was a very private but wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. Through this wonderful range of 1940s clothing we aim to continue her legacy..
